Training Requirements:
- Applicants must complete 16 hours of training, including firearm safety, principles of marksmanship, care and cleaning of firearms, and instruction on lawful and appropriate interaction with law enforcement while carrying or transporting a firearm.
- This class is for those who do not have the accepted exemption for Military, Hunters Safety, or approved pistol classes.
- Some will need 4 hours and others 8 hours. Select based on your criteria that you need.
Exemptions:
- Military 8 hour exemption
- IDNR Hunter's Safety 4 Hour exemption
- Recognized basic Pistol Training 4 Hour exemption
What To Bring:
- Modern handgun Semi-Automatic or Revolver (NO SINGLE SHOT REVOLVERS)
- Outside the waistband holster and belt (NO INSIDE THE WAISTBAND HOLSTERS)
- Eye and Ear protection
